Random thoughts in Math Class

Just some thoughts I had in Math class this morning.

I blame the swollen optic nerve in my right eye for this one.
That and... I'm really tired. Which usually brings out my more depressed state of mind... >_> Yeah.

Beyond the cut.

If I had a brain tumor
I don’t think I’d want surgery
or Chemo.

I mean,
Brain tumors don’t hurt all that much,
Chemo hurts. A hell of a lot.
I’d rather go out and do things,
Stuff I’d never even thought about doing,
then lie in a hospital all day.

Maybe I’d take time off from school
(What’s the use of a degree when you’re dying?)
And go out and help people...
Or write a book.
Make a comic.
Something...

I’d do my list of goals for life:
Busking
Hitchhiking
Play piano or sing for people...
on a stage of sorts.
A bar with live music, maybe?
Leave North America for a while.
I’m not that hard to please.

It’d be fun!
Maybe I’d meet new people.
Maybe I’d make a difference in people’s lives.
Maybe I’d be able to forget
If only for a while
that I was dying.
And that I’d be leaving these people behind...

But for now
as I play with ‘what if’s
Instead of learning about integrals
I’m content with where I am
and where I seem to be going.

I have a bed to sleep in;
It has a mattress
(Thank God for that!).
I have food, and stuff that,
no matter how boring,
still occupy my time effectively.

I have friends, family,
Caring people everywhere
that get angry when
I don’t take care of myself:
Sleep properly.
Eat properly.
Live properly.

So thank you to all of you,
You know who you are.
So I won’t mention names.
It would just make life
that much more awkward

Just know that
I love you all
Very much.
Thank you for making my life
That much sunnier.
That much livelier.
That much more liveable.

Thank you.
I love you.

Faster than the Speed of SoUND

CHARACTERRRRR

A samurai/warrior with a sword walks around carrying his sword as per normal fashion. At first glance, the warrior seems to be a run-of-the-mill boring old guy. However, upon closer inspection, we see that on the tassels on his sword have bells attached to them.

HOW THE HELL DOES HE WIN IF THE OPPONENT ALWAYS KNOWS WHEN HE ATTACKS?

by attacking faster than the speed of sound, of course :P

Ninja Samurai Yakyuu Desu

What happens if you stick a ninja and a samurai in baseball?? Also known as How Baseball came to Japan.

Old Manga Idea from forever-ago...

A Ninja and a Samurai are fighting at night in ancient Japan when they end up in a tremendously thick fog and reappear in the future (read present day Japan), where they are found by a teenaged mini-league baseball player. He stops them from killing each other by imploring to their honour and asking for help in baseball. They join his team (cuz they're approx. the same age), but must learn everything (pitching, hitting, teamwork, etc) in order to help the boy win, cuz his team actually sucks miserably.

For reference: the samurai starts off thwacking the ball into the ground like it's a leaf he has to strike.... with a sword. By the end he's an amazing batter, cuz he got the reflexes. NOt so good at throwing though, since that would be unhonourable :P

The ninja throws a wicked sidearm, but but is incredibly disappointed that his ball doesn't have deadly weapons on the end... he also is great at running bases, but isn't so good at batting.

The deaf boy and his Ipod

DRAMA!!!!!

Deaf boy wins Ipod a month before he is to get surgery to fix his hearing. He has heard that music is the most beautiful sound that one can hear, and really wants to fully understand it. He fills the ipod with lots of different music and goes around asking people to choose a song and to describe what the song sounds like, and what they hear. Somehow, every person he approaches for this chooses a song that they once held dear to them for emotional reasons, but now no longer really listen to. When they hear it for the first time in a while, they remember what memory they held dear with this song, and how they felt. They, in essence, regain themselves. This boy, in his quest to find out something most people take for granted, sets people free.

NOSEBLEED ALERT

Beware the stereotypical asian schoolboy perverted nosebleed!!!!

A Normal Japanese schoolboy is walking down the hall and meets a line of beautiful women in quick succession. As is normal with Japanese schoolboys meeting beautiful women, he has nosebleeds. But because of the interval between the girls, he ends up losing a lot of blood. Hilarity ensues.

1st girl he meets, his one nostril drips blood.
He sticks a tissue in it.
2nd girl he meets, he has to hold back a lot of blood
He keeps a hand on it.
3rd girl he meets, a fountain bursts from his nostrils, pushing his head back.
He's starting to seem a little haggard, and he may pass out at any time due to blood loss.
4th girl he meets, He flies a ways back, then passes out.
Paramedics rush to the scene, and give him 2 bags of blood on an IV drip, then leave him. He holds onti the IV stand.
5th girl he meets, one IV blood bag is empty and vacuum sucked dry and the other is half full and falling fast, as his nose gushes... yet again.
He's leaning and dying on the IV stand, thinking "no more, please.... no more...."
6th girl he meets is the most beautiful girl one could imagine, and he dies on the floor in a pool of his on nosebleed next to his IV stand... his soul is leaving his body.

This should be a manga

My Life Sucks, but not as much as my playlist!

Some teenager fills his mp3 player with tons of BAD music that he hates, and uses it as a pick me up to make himself feel better. ("My girlfriend dumped me, and my parents are getting divorced, but seriously, my life is still better than this crap that I listen to!" etc.)...

Soon he finds other people who have had bad days, etc, and he simply offers them an earbud. They, too, find themselves feeling better because their life is better than "this crap" that he gives them to hear. They are encouraged to do better, and then go on to become happier people, despite their misfortune.

This phenomenon goes on to be discovered by local news, and the teen becomes a celebrity. His different and eccentric style of motivation gets him on talk shows, and he ends up writing a book.

However, slowly, the songs on his playlist begin to mean something to him, and he begins to like the music not for the music, but for the emotional attachments he has towards the songs.

One day, he meets a girl who likes his plahlist a lot (obviously, she's tone deaf or something), but that he too is enamored by. Thus begins his foray into the unknown, and where he learns that the true meaning of happiness lies not from music, or songs, or anything of that sort, but in the memories one makes with other people, and in being with others....?

Rush Hour

:P I'm hoping ya'll know where this is :D

I mean, if I didn't have my locker there (at least my locker's in the middle), I'd avoid this area like the plague... it's sooooo crowded all the time.

It's nice when it's empty though... great place, with nice high ceilings... wouldn't mind living in a house with ceilings like at school :P

But seriously now... Way too crowded.

I'm sure some of you have done this before :P

So What do you think?

Fencing

So the school didn't like that people killed the old fence? (Kudos to the people who tore it down, btw. Thanks for making life easier for everyone else :P) They want to fight back by putting up a heavy duty chainlink fence??

Well, I say "GIVE US STAIRS!!" lol Please put some stairs corner that everyone walks on... even if they're not cement... just wood planks kinda nailed in. They'd last a long time! and they're totally work! And kids wouldn't be stupid on the hill anymore!! (well, some might, but most won't!)

I'd like to point something out:

1. I don't endorse what the characters are doing, cuz cement would suck in hair/clothes...

2. I am not responsible for what silly people will do after seeing this. If people are stupid enough to try something on the new chainlink fence, so be it... but it's not cuz of this comic. I'm just poking fun at 2 things... ISU time, and the new fence.

and lastly... CURRENT EVENTS PEOPLE :D

cuz I so totally saw the cement truck today :P on the bus :P and felt a strong desire to do this.

The title of the comic is 2-part:
a) Fencing is a type of elegent fighting with pointy metal sticks with balls on the end. This is a very slight protest over the fence...
b) It's a comic about a fence.

So what do you think?

Keltik vs Seltik

I have a pet peeve... and I know I'm not the only one. I hate how people pronounce Celtic. It just grates me that they're wrong. So I made it into a comic, cuz I'm nerdy that way :D

The author note in the third panel is very correct. Irish = Seltik, while Scottish = Keltik... so why do the admin call it Seltik all the time? For Alliteration's sake... I blame you, Literary Devices!!! *shakes fist*

And the shirt she's wearing is one I designed a while back... I'd still wear it though :D

So what do you think?

Spy Girl

Just a new character idea... thought I'd put it up here. It's random, and came from the fact that I'm going to donate my hair to cancer for the second time.

She's a beautiful, long ebony haired spy. That's what the underworld knows her as. No one is quite sure what her real name is, but she's amazing, and the criminal underground turns to run when they hear that she's in town. She prefers to go with sunglasses, but under that, she has colour contacts, and very natural makeup. Acts all sophisticated and stuff...

However, in her civilian life, she has incredibly short and punk (dyed tips) hair that she styles as she will, and crazy punk style makeup. She also tends to wear incredibly baggy outfits, and wears big glasses. Completely unrecognizable. And the short hair's a very realistic wig. She lives in her own flat, but knows most people on her floor, and has tons of people that she likes to hang with. She's part of a band, etc.

So people out to get her never notice that she's actually the spy, since she's successfully and completely changed her appearance and personality...

She'd probably be the main character, and the story would probably just document her work... and probably have some person after her that falls in love with her as a civi or something.

Lunch

"con⋅nois⋅seur

1. a person who is especially competent to pass critical judgments in an art, particularly one of the fine arts, or in matters of taste: a connoisseur of modern art.
2. a discerning judge of the best in any field: a connoisseur of horses.
Origin:
1705–15; <>" (Dictionary.com)

You know that person... the one who eats the same thing for lunch, day after day, and they never tire from it?

Yeah, me too.

I just noticed something... For the other two comic strips before this one, I have "Tastes like Yellow" instead of "Tastes of Yellow". Thanks to Wes for letting me know that "Tastes like Yellow" is a blog about some guy who was inspired by his son's words. Ah well, hopefully I'll remember the name of my own blog from now on...

Good job, viv...

Fixed :D Now they all say Tastes of Yellow, and the tagline at the bottom of the comic has the right url. I'm amazing, and I know it
